It’s Never Too Early to Renew Your Wedding Vows

Wednesday, March 18th, 2009

When you think about couples who renew their wedding vows, chances are you’re not picturing anyone under the age of 50. But the truth is that it’s never too early to renew your vows – especially if you didn’t get to do exactly what you wanted the first time around. I’m talking about those couples that really wanted to write their own vows, but that got talked out of doing it by family, friends (or even themselves) for a whole host of reasons that “sounded good” at the time.

Does This Sound Like You?

Rick and Holly were recently married, and as much as their day was truly memorable, there was one aspect that really bothered them — their wedding vows. Like many modern-day engaged couples, they wished to write their own vows to make their exchange of love more romantic and personal. However, they were talked out of the idea by Holly’s mother and her maid of honor, Karen.

Holly’s mother believed that writing their own wedding vows was going against tradition, which would be frowned upon by many of the guests attending the ceremony, while Karen felt that writing personal wedding vows was tacky and likely to be longwinded.

Holly carefully considered the opinion of each woman, both of whom she respected and loved very much, as they had been wonderful and exceptionally helpful during the planning of her wedding. She discussed the situation with Rick and found out that he, too, was having mixed feelings about writing their own vows. It seemed his brother Jim and sister-in law Deborah also expressed their distaste concerning the idea.

With a heavy sigh, both Rick and Holly decided that it would probably be best not write their own wedding vows. They tossed away brainstorming ideas, and although neither of them would admit it to the other, they were equally feeling miserable about abandoning their original plan to create their own vows.

Now, here they were, happily married, and yet feeling cheated out of the wedding they had always wanted. Why had they listened to others instead of their own hearts?

Why Not Renew Your Vows on Your Honeymoon? (Yes, Your Honeymoon!)

That is when Rick had a clever idea: what if they renewed their wedding vows on their honeymoon? Holly brightened at this thought, and after a moment of consideration it was settled. Both of them carefully composed personal thoughts that they wished to share with the other, and set the day when they would renew their vows.

Afterwards, Rick and Holly were able to ignore the regret they once felt, as they now had new memories born from the second chance of being able to express the everlasting words of love they had always wanted to share in the presence of others.

If you are one of the unfortunate victims who have listened to others and went with traditional wedding vows instead of your original plan of writing out your own, you can stop regretting and start renewing. That’s right; you can have the wedding you originally wanted by simply renewing your wedding vows.

You will discover that renewing your wedding vows is not a difficult process, and could be even more romantic than the first time you were married. A renewal of vows is a beautiful decision, because it is like saying to your spouse, “I love you even more than the day we were married, and if I had the choice, I would marry you all over again because I can’t imagine my life without you in it. You are the only one for me, and I want the whole world to know.”

If this sounds like something you’re interested in, try searching on the Internet for places that cater to “destination weddings.” After all, you want this to be a special moment – just as special as the day you were originally married.

And in terms of getting down to the business of actually personalizing the words you’re going to say, products like The Ultimate Wedding Vow Toolkit (which I created – more info at http://www.weddingvowtoolkit.com) will walk you through the process step by step.

Good luck…and this time, don’t let anyone talk you out of what you truly want to do!

Six Benefits of Working With a Coach

Wednesday, March 18th, 2009

Working with a coach can be a rewarding, enlightening, eye-opening experience, but many people wonder, “What can a coach do for me that I can’t do for myself?”

As long as you have an open mind, are willing to grow and stretch yourself beyond your comfort zone, and have a “gap” between where you are now and where you want to be, the benefits of working with a coach are enormous.

With a coach, you will:

1. Set goals and take specific actions to get them.
Somewhere inside yourself, you know what you really want to do. If you keep finding the way to your goals blocked, it may because you’re trying to achieve a goal that isn’t coming from your heart. One of the first things we’ll do is find out exactly what you want and need for yourself. Once you visualize your ideal life you’ll be much more likely to take the actions required to get yourself there.

2. Life a balanced, centered life.
If you want to have it all, you have to start with you. That means figuring out what you need and putting yourself first. Selfishness has gotten a bad rap over the centuries. You can’t be there for others unless you have first taken care of yourself. With a coach, you’ll learn how to be selfish and get your own needs met, yet still respond appropriately to the needs of others.

3. Discover energy you didn’t know you had.
When you’re happy, fulfilled, taking care of yourself, in tune with what you want your life to be and able to deal with problems and stressors as they come up, you’re going to feel – and look – better.

4. Live a rich, full, abundant life.
You’ll learn how to bring abundance into your life. You’ll learn that you can always reach for more of what life has to offer because you deserve it. There’s an old saying, “If more is enough, then too much is just right.” Your life will be abundant and you’ll attract more and more good things for yourself.

5. Make smarter decisions for yourself and your business or career.
Sharing ideas with a coach who respects and listens, yet won’t let you wiggle out of the hard work, will help you make clear, focused decisions. A coach has no bias or personal agenda, so you will get an honest, straightforward viewpoint.

6. Get a handle on your money once and for all.
Almost everyone has money issues. No matter what, you have to have it and you probably think you never have enough. Truth: you have more money than you think you do and a coach can help you find it and keep it.

So You’re Engaged, Now What?

Monday, March 16th, 2009

Congratulations – you’ve gotten engaged! This is a great time in your life and should be enjoyed, but after the fun and excitement of showing off the ring, you’ve got some real work to do.

Getting engaged means planning a wedding and weddings are work. You can make this a bit easier by either hiring a wedding planner or eloping but either way you have some work on your own cut out for you.

First, of course you must set a date. What season do you prefer to get married in? Are you picturing a off the shoulder gown or long sleeved? If your gown is very important to you, this might dictate the season. If you are planning a large wedding be prepared to wait a year or more before being able to get the accommodations you want.

Once you have a date or time of year in mind, you need to coordinate the reception hall with the church to make sure they will both be available to you at the right times. Is the church more important or the hall? Whichever comes top on your list will be the place to call first. Find out what dates they have available in the month of your choice and work the other from there. Sometimes you may have to go back and forth to get a perfect day / time combination.

Once you have the date and reception hall worked out, make sure you find out what type of marriage “training” your clergyman will require. Some churches require special classes and you need to make sure you will be available to attend some time prior to the wedding day.

Ok, well that doesn’t sound so hard, does it? That’s just the tip of the iceburg! Now you must set about finding a dress, bridesmaid gowns, invitations, cake, photographer, planning the meals and choosing the guest list and seating. Of course, you will be working very closely with your parents and future in-laws and this is where the real headaches can begin.

If your parents are paying for the wedding, they may feel like they want some control over the event. What you want and what they want may be 2 different things. This is your big day and you should have everything you want, however if your gigantic wedding is only possible due to funding by your parents than you may need to compromise on some accounts. Take your parents aside at the beginning and discuss in detail what you want – let them know what is important to you and see if you can work out a way to make everyone happy.

Almost every future bride gets frustrated at times with the wedding planning, you want your day to be perfect and every little thing can seem a lot more important than it actually is. When you feel things start to get out of control, just remember what is really important – the you and your fiancée and families enjoy good health and happiness. With that in mind your day is bound to be perfect no matter what little things go wrong!

Its Got to Be the Best! The Spanish Lotto

Thursday, March 12th, 2009

On Dec 2008 e-lotto added the Spanish lottery to it’s product range, giving players globally a vastly improved chance of sharing in this super Spanish lottery prize fund.

If this is the first time you have come across the Spanish Lottery, allow me to highlight just how measurable this lottery is to the vast majority of the Spanish population. The Spanish lottery has been a national obsession in Spain for a long time with huge involvement generated by the Christmas lotto draw every year. Believe it or not 98% of the population play this Spanish National lotto each and every Christmas.

There are a few primary reasons why lot’s of Spanish subjects join in the Christmas Elgordo lotto draw.

First Off, there is the incentive of the biggest lottery prize fund of any international lotto game – 2.20 Billion Euros! Secondly, there are in excess of 13 thousand money prizes to be won. Finally, the chance of accumulating a cash prize in the Christmas lottery draw is a extremely feasible – one : six.

With the quantity of interest that is presented to the Christmas Elgordo lottery draw, a great deal of people are unaware that there is five extra Spanish Lottery draws annually too. These lottery games take place in January, March, May, July and November. While these 5 lottery games don’t boast the big prize fund of the Christmas lotto draw, they are sizable however, ranging from seventy eight million Euros to six hundred & sixty six million Euros. In addition, these lotto games provide nearly 3 times as many prizes as the Christmas lotto draw and odds of collecting a money prize of an impressive one in three.

The Spanish Christmas Lotto operates in an unusual way to almost all other world-wide drawings. A full lotto ticket ‘billete’ is really costly, costing two hundred Euros. However, these lottery tickets are broken up into ten ‘decimos’ (tenths) costing twenty Euros apiece.

When buying your lotto tickets you have the option of purchasing 1 decimo, a complete lotto ticket, or a share of a lotto ticket. If you do not purchase the entire ticket, someone else will purchase the remainder of your lotto ticket. For Instance, if you buy two decimos, someone else purchases three decimos and someone else buys 5 and your ticket wins one thousand Euros, and then you will collect 200 Euros, 300 Euros and 500 Euros respectively. Owing to the expense of purchasing an entire lottery ticket, it is not unusual for households and friends to amalgamate their lottery money and all buy a separate ‘decimo’ 10th.

The Bride’s Greatest Ally

Wednesday, March 11th, 2009

On Friday, 1st May 1835, Mr Charles Dickens, the creator of “David Copperfield” and “Please, sir, can I have some more?” was the happiest of mortals. He had proposed and had been accepted.

By Saturday, 2nd May 1835, Mr Charles Dickens was wrestling with that knotty problem facing every Groom. Who was he to choose for his Best Man?

The role was too important for most of the Tom, Dick and Harrys he knew. And, in any case, by now, he should be aiming a little bit higher. Searching carefully through the banks of his capacious memory, a name came up so suitable in every way that he was surprised not to have thought of it earlier.

Pleased as Punch, he hurried to York Place to share the good news with his little Bride.

“Your publisher, Mr Dickens?” she says unimpressed. “How can you even think of him as your Best Man? He’s hardly a friend.”

“Perhaps to your turn of mind he may not be my friend, madam, but I have been entertained by him and his good lady. And, in short, he is my bread and butter.”

“I hope, Mr Dickens, when we are wed, you’ll be able to think of other things beside your bread and butter.” Oh, how those pert words were to haunt her in the next twenty years.

“And I hope, madam, when we are wed, you’ll appreciate intellectual greatness and not be for ever reading that romantic trash.”

Seeing Mr Dickens’ furrowed brow, and an unpleasant cast to his mouth very reminiscent of his less humorous characters, Catherine besought herself to be a little more congenial.

“What think you, Mr Dickens, of mama’s cousin, three times removed, Frederick Monteroy?”

“What? For my Best Man?”

“He’s ever so amusing and obliging,” she wheedled.

“My dear, Miss Hogarth,” protests Mr Dickens, “I don’t know the man. He is your friend entirely.”

Ah, Mr Dickens, the clever man that you are, you have placed your inky-finger on the very heart of the matter. That he is the Bride’s friend is exactly what makes him so desirable as a Best Man.

Young as she is, your Catherine has already heard the sad tales of how tenaciously a Best Man battles to detach his friend from the bosom of his intended.

Go back as far as Sparta and Athens. Even there history will show the perils a Groom encounters on his road to matrimony, and the length to which his Best Man will go, to make him detour.

No trick too dirty, especially as D Day approaches. Lolling on the sofas of the local Vino where so much of their time had been spent as college graduates, he will ply the sheepish fool with unlimited goblets of wine at best – and frisky young lasses at worst.

“One last drink for the road!” is the cry every time the Groom makes at attempt to escape. And the next day, legs unset jelly, he might manage to stumble towards his bride more than an hour late. Then again he might not get there at all.

But back to Mr Dickens. “No, Catherine,” he says firmly, nay, obstinately, “I must have Mr Bentley beside me.”

“But, my dear,” says the suddenly inspired Catherine, “do not you know that the Best Man must always be a single man?”

“I declare I had not,” admits Mr Dickens in some confusion.

“La, Mr Dickens,” says his lady, seeing the race all but won, “if you’d spent more time with the social pages instead of the plight of the poor, you’d know better.”

And so on Saturday, 2nd April, 1836, Mr Dickens plighted his troth at St Luke’s Church, Chelsea. Beside him stood not Mr Bentley, the Publisher, but Mr Beard, the journo.

Catherine had fought the good battle that every Bride must fight. And won. Too bad that Mr Dickens turned out not to be the catch she thought he was. But that’s another story.

Platinum Guaranteed Credit Card – How Unsecured is It?

Monday, March 9th, 2009

Typically, what bad credit consumers are finding online when they search for an instant approval or guaranteed platinum credit card, are “Shopping” cards. Unknowingly, many of these consumers apply thinking they are getting a true-to-life platinum credit card, because they are being marketed as a “Platinum Unsecured Credit Card”. In actuality, these cards offer an “Unsecured line of credit”.

What’s the difference?

An unsecured line of credit is the ability to make purchases on credit, and to re-pay over time. Sounds just like a typical credit card, right? Wrong. The difference is that the issuer allows purchases only from a select vendor(s), either from an online resource or through an offline catalog.

While this type of credit card offers the ability to make purchases on credit like a typical credit card, it can’t be used for making purchases at local retail stores, restaurants, nor to book airline or motel reservations. And it certainly doesn’t offer any type of balance transfer from existing credit cards, nor cash back or rewards as offered by major platinum credit card issuers.

So why are shopping cards being marketed as platinum credit cards? Mainly because they offer a high unsecured line of credit, like those major platinum credit card issuers offer to new members with a fair credit rating. For example, the USA Platinum Plus shopping card offers a $7,500 unsecured line of credit, whereas typical unsecured credit cards (the type that allows purchases anywhere the card is accepted), offer a limited credit line. When compared to the Rewards660 Card; an unsecured credit card for people with troubled credit, it offers only an initial $250 unsecured credit line.

The benefits of a platinum shopping credit card?

If you have bad credit, such as late payments, bankruptcy, or no credit score, it’s not likely you’ll get approved for a platinum credit card from major issuers such as Discover, American Express and Chase. But a shopping card accepts most anyone with no credit check. And although it doesn’t offer the perks such as frequent flyer miles or cash back, some guaranteed platinum credit card issuers offer other rewards, such as free merchandise when you accept the card. You can’t use the card for purchases beyond those allowed, nonetheless you do receive an unsecured line of credit to make purchases from the issuer’s vendor(s). This can be helpful, particularly during times when you need credit but can’t get it, like during Christmas or to buy birthday gifts. Also, many of these cards will report your timely payments to a major credit bureau to help you improve your credit score so one day you may qualify for a true-to-life platinum credit card.

As with any online application, applicants should read the full Terms and Disclosure before applying, so they will know exactly what is being offered, plus any fees that may be charged.

Finding University Scholarships for Left Handed Students

Friday, March 6th, 2009

It’s not simple to find a grant at the moment. College scholarships differ from a student loan in that they are a grant for education, and, repayment is not required. While researching means to finance a academic degree, suss out the many more different options, such as financing for left-handed students.

Scholarships for Southpaws: — A left-handed bursary may initially look a little bit strange, however consider this: Julius Caesar was left handed, as is President Obama. Michelangelo, Da Vinci, Ringo Starr and were also left handed. Statistics propose eleven percent of individuals are left handed. Unfortunately in the past southpaws experienced discrimination, now they are considered to be more gifted intellectually and more artistic. Stigmatisation is not a problem any longer, lefties are no longer thought to be unusual, as a matter of fact they may even be linked with the great individuals mentioned above. Should you be a southpaw and searching for scholarships for southpaw students, plenty of left handed scholarships exist which you may be able to receive. The Frederick and Mary F. Beckley Scholarship for up to one thousand dollars is currently available at Juniata College in Huntington, PA. For scholars of Juniata College and set up in 1979, this unique school grant has aided forty plus scholars through school.

When searching for college scholarships, do be aware that some of them have prerequisites and limitations. In a few cases particular grades may be asked for or particular financial requirements must be met. Do apply for as many school scholarships as possible to step-up the prospects of finishing with a negligible level of debt. You might also consider community organisations, societies and hobby associated groups. Southpaw bursaries aren’t a unique case; funding is likewise available if you are the child of a veteran or suffer from a handicap, for example. Looking for school bursaries may take some time, all the same the return may be huge. Utilized along with standard lending, they are efficient at keeping down the unavoidable debt generated by a college degree. Be sure to enquire into every last opportunity. These scholarships are not the only choice — and do be creative! Try for every scholarship you might possibly qualify for, keeping any costs minimal, additionally you will likely look forward to a more positive financial future on leaving university.

Benefits of Business Credit Cards

Friday, March 6th, 2009

Business credit cards can be very beneficial to a business owner for a variety of reasons. In addition to providing the business with a professional look and a keeping all of the business expenses in one easy to keep track of location, there are many benefits associated with business credit cards that you may have never considered.

Travel Benefits

Many business credit cards provide more travel benefits than a standard credit card. This is because many business owners need to travel extensively in order to make their business successful. These travel benefits can include free or reduced air travel, but it travel benefits can be more than just that. For instance, a business credit card may provide travel insurance, lost luggage insurance, and auto rental insurance. It can also include roadside emergency services. All of these benefits can come in very handy to a business owner as they can prevent you from missing an important meeting or client contact. It is important to compare business credit cards to learn as much as possible about the travel benefits each offers in order to choose the one that is best suited to your business.

Reward Programs

Some business credit cards have special rewards programs. For the most part, any type of rewards program will involve earning points for dollars spent. The exact number of points earned for each dollar varies from card to card. With some business credit cards, you might even earn more points for certain purchases, such as purchases made at specific office supply stores.

The points earned with these reward programs can then be traded in for certain goods or services. Some business credit cards specialize in travel rewards programs. In this case, the points can be traded in for airline miles in order to receive free or reduced air travel. Others might offer free or reduced office products or services in exchange for the points. Or, restaurant discounts or discounts on other form of entertainment may be purchased with points earned. When you compare business credit cards, you need to look at what type of rewards are most beneficial to your business and select the card that best meets those needs.

Discounts

In addition to rewards programs, many business credit cards offer special discounts to cardholders. It is common for business credit cards to provide discounts to cardholders on every purchase made at specific stores or with certain airlines. If you use these stores or airlines on a frequent basis, these discounts can be a fantastic money saving benefit to your business. These additional perks can certainly make having a business credit card helpful.

Larger Credit Limits

Typically, business credit cards provide a larger credit limit than regular credit cards. This is particularly beneficial to a business that is just getting started and needs to invest money in order to get off the ground. Even businesses that are already established, however, can often use the extra money and the freedom and flexibility provided by a business credit card. If you need to make last minute travel arrangements, for example, it is helpful to have a business credit card in order to make payment. Often, the money from a business is tied up and not easily accessible. A business credit card takes care of this problem, making it possible for you to make it to that important meeting.

Not being able to invest money into your business at the right time, or failing to make it to an important meeting because you are unable to arrange the finances, can prevent your business from growing. With a business credit card, you don’t have to worry about this happening to you.

There are plenty of FREE tools out there; you just have know where to look.

Overture Keyword Selector Tool
One of the first things you need to do with every online project is to find out how many people are searching for that topic.

Overture, now owned by yahoo, gives us this great little tool that shows how many people searched for a particular topic in the previous 30 days, as well as what keywords they used to do that search..

A site well worth book marking.

Blogger – Google Own Blogging Service
Blogger is very easy to use, and if used the correct way can be a great way to get newly developed sites indexed by the search engines.

You can setup as many blogs as you wish post as often as you wish, and say almost anything you want.

Web Site Code checker
These days it’s very easy to quickly put up a website using your favorite WYSIWYG HTML editor, but sometimes they can generate absolutely nasty web code, that can make search engines almost choke just trying to read your site.

Just because internet explorer displays the site OK, doesn’t mean that the search engines can read your site properly.

So make sure every HTML page you put up on the web is 100%b HTML clean and correct.

Let me quote directly from their website

“OpenOffice.org is a multiplatform and multilingual office suite and an open-source project. Compatible with all other major office suites, the product is free to download, use, and distribute. “

Basically Open Office is a FREE alternative to Microsoft Office. It can read and write most if not all the standard Office files.

The aspect I like about it is that its built in wordprocessor (write) can load Microsoft Word documents and then you can save them as standard PDF documents.

This means that you can create your own e-books and reports without having to buy expensive PDF creators.

Give it a go… It’s well worth while.

All of the tools I mentioned above are absolutely FREE.

I use almost all of them on a daily basis, so don’t waste your hard earned money on expensive tools, use these FREE one.
