Affinion Group Subsidiary Launches IdentitySecure

A subsidiary of the Affinion Group called the Affinion Security Center released its ID theft prevention solution called IdentitySecure. This service supplies consumers with a fusion of robust assistances that help secure financial and personal information. The company provides services to various businesses that would like to safeguard their clients from identity theft.

As reported by a 2007 Javelin Research study, in the past five years, over 27.3 million Americans have become victims of identity theft. With Affinion’s IdentitySecure, it resolves the modern threats consumers face and aids clients in resisting the increasing instances of businesses being subjected to data breaches and hacks.

Affinion Security Center recently conducted a survey of 1,000 people and the results prove that 80% of those who took the survey were fearful about having their IDs stolen. In addition, one in four people were said to express concern that their personal information may be divulged by vendors who retained data from credit cards they used in previous transactions.

Targeted to prevent these threats, Affinion’s IdentitySecure presents interesting features including Social Security number and public record tracking for detection of any illegal activity, personal info online data sweeps, tracking of underground chat rooms, and credit tracking.
