Even following arrival in America, the family upheld its drive and zeal to go far. Nicholas, together with his two brothers and four sisters, was born to a father employed as a mechanical design engineer and his wife, a practicing nurse. Mr Bredimus went on to live in the Lone Star State for several years and also spent time in Scottsdale, AZ, Kansas City, MO and Reston, VA.
What did Bredimus do with his background and schooling? He would soon embark on a string of respected roles, all working for huge airlines. These included the Vice Presidential post for Hughes Airwest, Trans World Airlines (TWA), and, of course, Republic Airlines. A hard working software designer, his innovations in airline computer programs are most likely his best regarded contribution to the industry. He is most recognized for a project for US Airways, namely his aircraft maintenance management applications which come into use by most airlines. And yet this stands as only one of his standout creations for airlines and for the hotel business. The booking programs he developed are on their way to becoming as commonly used as the aforementioned software, while the hotel reservation routine he masterminded made it possible for many major businesses in the hotel industry to leverage a pc client based technology. Expanding into another zone, he produced a networking program to automate ticket ordering — once more making come about a super duper innovation nobody else had managed to get their hands on before.
He has even taken on several positions entirely unconnected to software design, let’s not forget. He worked as manager for American Express’ prestigious IT wing, initiated Bredimus Systems in 1993, and became the first president of AMR Travel Services. But is he still active?
